I have had a few people already asking about my classes for Journalfest 2010. Class proposals were due this past Friday, and I wanted to let folks know that I did not apply. The dates for Journalfest 2010 are October 27 to 31, falling on Halloween.
Now, of course, Halloween gives Teesha and Tracey marvelous fodder for their incredibly creative event ideas, and Journalfest 2010 will undoubtedly be fabulous! Can you imagine whatTeesha and Tracey's wild imaginations will turn out with HALLOWEEN as a concept with which to work??!
However, I have three littles, and Halloween is almost as big as Christmas. We have a local parade where the littles march down Main Street and the parade-goers toss candy to the kids... there are school parties, and trick-or-treat. And, as my dear friend Misty pointed out, you only get so many magical Halloweens before the littles are too big.... so I won't be at Journalfest.
The Moore's will have a terrific teacher line-up from which to choose, and the Halloweeny fun, at a location infamous for being haunted, will undoubtedly be super-cool.
(Did you know that besides An Officer and A Gentleman, the super creepy movie, The Ring, was also filmed there? Here is a list of the films that have been filmed there!)
I'll be home with my littles, joyfully making magic, painting faces, carving pumpkins, sewing costumes, decorating the porch, and marching in the parade! I'll think of you all and think of me, too! Make great journal pages and blog about em!
