I think adolescence might be a little stormy, and not so sunny... so much attitude for being three.

last weekend

I saw this...

while sitting here working on this

and when it became just too warm, I headed down to the riverbank and saw this:

and smiled at this: 

and this, these two cousins made my smile crack open wide.

(Lilah puts her whole head and front torso under the water, chooses a river stone, brings it to the bank and adds it to a pile of her special stones.)

 

(two life-jacketed little girls, Maggie & Zoë, holding hands. Maggie, so careful with Zoë, who is to be five tomorrow, reminds me of how much Maggie has grown.  It hasn't been overlong since this was Gryphon holding onto Mags...  the love and the change make me weep sweet-mama-tears.)

 Did you know if you sign up for one of my classes there is no longer an end date? Your access to the classes will continue indefinitely (or is that infinitely?) and should I ever close them I'll give you 90 days notice. 

While I reach a point where I have posted all the course materials, you have all the time you need to do the class! 

Right now we have a nice cohort of folks going through together. The class website is getting lots of visits & there is chat on our FB group page... It is a good time to join!

I was seeing things from far away

 

and from far too near

    

sad, and somehow struggling.

   

struggling over nothing, but struggling nonetheless.

   

mostly, I think, a consequence of being exhausted.

luckily, I have someone who can always bring me out of myself.

 

and suddenly, the world is a much sweeter and sunnier place.

 

 
and I feel blessed in my life.
