There used to be a particular brand of photo paper that was rubbish for photos as it wasn't waterproof. However, this flaw made the paper perfect to use to do ink jet image transfers. All one needed was a spray bottle, some paper, and a wooden spoon to make the loveliest of image transfers. It worked on paper, fabric, and even light-colored leather. And, as a bonus,often the post-image transfer photo paper was pretty cool looking and could also be used in journals and paintings and what have you. Oh, I LOVED that paper.
Sadly, the manufacturer discontinued this paper years ago. I, however, have a hoarded stash of this paper, and I am selling some of it in my Etsy shop.
