I am having a mix of computer -typepad-vimeo issues leaving me a bit behind, and I am busily (frantically) catching up. I apologize for not updating here, but I have to get the rest of this resolved and updated tout de suite.
I wanted to show everyone the book I constructed for myself using the papers I made for/during/as part of my Printed Patterned Painted Journal Making class. The papers are the ones I created during demos or to exhibit as class samples. I used one of the bindings I teach in this class, and then did a little something different on my own to incorporate all the different paper sizes from the demos into the book. The book dimensions are 7.5" x 9" x 2", closed.
This class is still open and accepting students - you can begin at any time, and the blog site will remain open for a good long while. (details on the class info page.)
thanks, LK, I love this class. I haven't caught up yet, but I love the techniques you showed, and I have the covers picked out for my book, and the binding technique you taught looks easy to do.
Thanks for a great class. I did try out the scraped paint technique, with water drops, at the journaling retreat my journaling group has every three months, and it turned out so well that everyone else tried it, too! You were given full credit, I might add!

Lovely lovely book - and I can't wait to get back to the online class, so glad there is still time. I've been reading the lessons on screen but not doing - have had to take a break as all kinds of 'happenings' materialised that just had to be put first. Thanks for your stimulating and inspired teaching, and I think I have discovered how to watch the videos without them stopping every few words. Technology! Wonderful but frustrating at times.
